Five New Festivals in 2016 for Rock on the Range Producer (Tweet @gigzealot)

Big news, festival concert fans- you may have one of the best lineups coming your way in 2016. Danny Wimmer Presents, producer of the Rock on the Range, Louder than Life and Northern Invasion festivals, is adding 5 new festivals in 2016 to the 9 they put on in 2015.

Says DWP CEO Danny Hayes, “In order to effectively deploy our capital, we needed to first add some key executives to our team. I am confident that these additions will allow us to reach our goal of adding at least 5 new festivals in 2016–through growth or acquisition–to our current slate of 9.”

This year’s lineup hosted some big names; Slipknot, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack and Judas Priest are just a few of the top tier acts that participated in DWP events this year. The festivals also acted as a springboard for some of today’s hottest young acts; Starset, Islander, Like a Storm and We Are Harlot all warmed the crowds for the headliners.

Danny Wimmer Presents has added some heavy hitting talent to their team to pull off this rather aggressive goal: Gary Spivak (co-producer of Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion and Northern Invasion) has become Executive Vice President of DWP, and his production company, RockHouse Presents will be rolled into the company as well.

Aside from the upcoming Aftershock festival, the majority of the DWP festivals have been on the right side of the map; will we see Texas get some love in 2016? New England? Las Vegas?

Where would you like to see DWP expand their festival empire?  Who would you like to see booked? Sound off and tweet at
